Montana City VFD Presents 2009 Awards

Montana City - Saturday night, Montana City VFD presented awards to its members at its annual Awards Banquet held at Montana City Grill.

Fire Chief Rick Abraham presented Firefighter of the Year to Dee Alheim. Chief Abraham remarked that she has given countless hours of her personal time to support the department with ordering supplies, responding to most calls and the many other things she has done behind the scenes.

Several members were presented with pins recognizing milestone years of service. 20 years: Rick Abraham, Tom Blokzyl and Bob Flesher. 15 years: Pete Brustkern, George Schiller, Kirk Taylor. 5 years: Rory Copeland.

Awards were followed by gifts for spouses and a drawing for door prizes for firefighters which were provided by many local and Helena-area businesses.
